"The Alabama Adventures of Walter & Wimbly"

In my  book “The Alabama Adventures of Walter & Wimbly: two maramalade cats on a mission,”  two cool kitties complete an exciting journey to find each other, traveling all over central and south Alabama and stopping at some of the state’s most historic and beloved places including Hank Williams boyhood home, Monroeville, Conecuh Sausage company and more.

The book was inspired by two real cats, named (you guessed it) Walter and Wimbly. They really were best friends, and Walter really did move to Fairhope, leaving Wimbly quite lonely in Montgomery.

But the end of this book is not really the end of the tale. The two friends will be setting out on another adventure soon, and you can follow along when the next book comes out in fall 2017.

Madelon Stewart illustrated the book. She  is an artist living in Gadsden, Ala., and also happens to be my mom (which is NOT how she got the illustrating gig, although it may have helped a bit).
